CVS Shopping Trip- Honest Tea, Crest 3D, Clean & Clear, Godiva, Gardetto's

Since I started couponing, my friends always ask me how I complete my shopping trips.

Here's an example from CVS tonight.

In this shopping trip, I spent $3.14 out of pocket in two transactions, used $8 reward bucks from a previous week and $5 from the first transaction, and was left with $5 reward bucks for a future transaction.

Transaction #1

  • 4 Bottles of Honest Tea (12/$10) + .05 bottle deposit each in California
  • Gardettos Original 5.5oz (2/$3)
    • Used .50 cents off coupon found here (Expires 5/1/11)
  • Godiva Easter Truffles 4.2oz (50% Easter Clearance $2.49)
    • Used .50 cents coupon found in SS 4/17/11
    • Used $1.00 Godiva Gem CVS store coupon from the coupon machine
  • Clean & Clear Morning Burst Shower/Body Wash ($5.99)
    • I had previously bought 2 bottles of these from a transaction earlier this week using the B1G1F found in SS 3/27/11 w/max value $5.99.
    • Since I didn't have a second one of these coupons, I used a $2.00 off coupon found here (must sign up for an account).
Used $5.00 CVS bucks from a previous week.
Subtotal: .54 cents
CA 10% tax: .38
Total: .92 cents
Got $5.00 from the Clean & Clear deal (Spend $15 (before coupons), get CVS RB $5)

Note: Since I used two B1G1F worth $1.99 each and my tea was $3.34 in total before the coupons made them free, I had .64 cents on overage to use towards my purchase.

Transaction #2

  • Oral B 3D White Toothbrush ($3.50)
    • Used $.75 cents coupon from P&G mailer received 04/2011
  • Crest 3D White Rinse 946ml ($8.29)
    • Used $2.00 off P&G coupon from P&G 4/2011
Used $5 RB from previous transaction and $3 RB from previous week.
Subtotal: $1.04
CA 10% tax: $1.18
Total: $2.22
Received $5 RB back for a future purchase.

Has anyone used this rinse or toothbrush? I am curious if it's any good given its hefty price!
