Field Research Update for Week of 6/19/11: CVS, Walgreens, & Rite Aid-Freebies & Money Makers (Colgate, GUM Dental Care, Hershey Bliss, Power Bar, Aspirin, Samy Fat Foam Hair Color, & More!

Here's my update from the field today! I will be covering CVS, Walgreens, and Rite Aid (Week of 6/19/11-6/25/11). Note that I only cover the deals that are either uber cheap, FREE, or MM!

CVS
This is a pretty good week for CVS. We got multiple FREE items and some money makers! Yay for Colgate, Gum Dental Care, PowerBar Bites, more free or cheap groceries and bottled water! Also, check your inbox for a survey offer sent to CVS Panel Members (free to join!). Completing the survey will give you $10 extra bucks! It was sent out earlier this morning.

Here's how the free 20oz Big Chill water looks like. Grab the Q from the coupon machine!

Free colgate, Simply Asia, MM Gum, FREE PowerBar, and Hershey's Bliss!
This $2 6 pack (sale price) can be combined w/the $3.44 (24 ct) Arrowhead that's part of the gas deal. Use the $1.50  off Arrowhead Q - making the extra 6 pack just .50 cents more! Also, be on the lookout for the bonus 4 bottles (28 count). It, too, is priced at $3.44 and counts towards the gas deal!!!
  • Colgate Toothpaste Deal (Total Gum Defense, Advanced, or Enamel Strength 4 oz, Max 6 oz, or 360 Surround Toothbrush 1 count), LIMIT 2, $2.79 w/EB $2 = .79 cents each, MM w/Qs!
    • .75 cents/1 Colgate Toothpaste Mq SS 6/5/11
    • $1/1 Colgate Toothpaste Mq SS 6/12/11
    • Combine manufacturer coupon from above w/ $1/1 Colgate Total Gum Defense store coupon from Reinventing Beauty Magazine (available for .99 cents in store) OR check the checkout area for a one page with multiple coupons (same set as Reinventing Beauty Magazine), but you don't have to buy to magazine if you can find these!
    • Note: Remember that you cannot do use TWO of the $1/1 Colgate Total Gum Defense store Qs at the same time since it does say "1 per customer". IT WILL BEEP and not go through. If you are going to use BOTH, you will need to do it in a separate transaction in order to maximize your Q values and complete this deal twice/Limit 2.
  • Pantene Pro-V Shampoo/Conditioner 12.6oz or styler 5.7-11.5oz, Limit 1, 2/$6.97 w/EB $2= $4.97, 2/$1.97 for BOTH w/Q!
    • $3/1 Mq from Sunday Paper 6/19/11
    • I didn't get the $3 off Q that I needed for this deal so NO DEAL FOR ME (San Francisco Bay Area- if you're from here I suggest you check the San Jose Mercury OR San Francisco Chronicle which will more than likely have this Mq).
  • Simply Asia and other snacks 10/$10 or $1 each, FREE w/Peelie Q!
    • Check the Simply Asia products carefully as I was able to snag a $1 peelie making this FREE!
  • Chex Mix, Gardetto's or Corn Nuts, $1.49 (Part of the Spend $30+, Get $10 Gas Card Promotion/Limit 1 on Promotion), $2.48 for TWO w/Q
    • .50/2 Mq from Sunday Paper RP 6/12/11
    • Note: I ended up not getting this b/c I've seen Mqs as high as .50/1 for the Chex Mix. I am holding off on this item unless I get a $ or % off Q later this week (seems like lately there has been a $5 off $20+ purchase Q in the Sunday Papers on Wednesday or Thursdays) for later this week. I might check back and complete the gas deal.
  • Arrowhead Mountain Spring Water (24 Pack 10.9 oz bottles) $3.44,(Part of the Spend $30+, Get $10 Gas Card Promotion/Limit 1 on Promotion),  Combine w/Q to grab a 6 Pack too for an extra .50 cents!

    • $1/2 Mq from Sunday Paper 6/19/11
    • $1/2 Mq previous found here
    • I am going to hold off on this until later this week in case I need it as a filler for a $/% off store coupon. With the Mq, $1.50 per box is a pretty good deal!

  • Hershey's Bliss 8.6-9.6oz, $5.99 w/EB $5.99 = FREE, Limit 1, MM $1 w/Q!
    • $1/1 SS 5/1/11

However, I decided even after the rebate plus the $2 Q, I would still pay $2.50 each for the makeup removers and decided not to get it.

Walgreens
An unexpected $3 RR printed when I bought 4 boxes of the 2/$5 Oscar Mayer lunch meat! AND I also got TWO additional CATs for PediaSure and Stopain! Both are super high value too!
This isn't a good week for Walgreens. However, this is the place to go for Oscar MePublish Postyer Deli Fresh Shaved Meat and Kraft American Singles cheese this week especially since it gave me an extra RR $3 for buying the Oscar Mayer meat! We also got some great fillers in case you need to burn some register rewards!
